01 / THE CLIENT
The client
Pollant Travels and Expedition Ltd is a travel business based in Nairobi, Kenya. Its website presents wildlife safaris, adventure, cultural and beach experiences in East Africa. This case study looks at the website credited to Webinnovators and the visitor journey shown in its archived and current pages.
02 / THE WEBSITE’S PURPOSE
The website’s purpose
The website helps visitors move from discovering destinations to exploring travel options and contacting the business. Photography introduces the experience, while destination pages provide a route into more specific information.
Introduce East African travel destinations visually.
Organise travel information around places and experiences.
Keep telephone, email and contact-page routes available.
03 / THE CHALLENGE
The design challenge
A travel website needs to help visitors navigate a broad offering without losing the sense of the experience. The design task is to connect destination imagery with organised information and contact routes, giving visitors a clear way to move from browsing places to exploring the travel offering.
Present destinations through useful, recognisable imagery.
Make individual destinations accessible from the wider catalogue.
Keep practical contact information available as visitors explore.
04 / DESIGN & USER EXPERIENCE
Design & user experience
The archived homepage combines a large landscape opening with white content sections, dark headings and coral accents. Destination photography and tour cards make the travel offering visible. The current destination page continues that visual approach with image-led tiles and clear links to destination details.
01 Travel comes first
Landscape and safari photography establish the experience before visitors reach the practical travel information.
02 Browse by destination
Destination tiles connect places such as Amboseli, Masai Mara and Samburu with their corresponding detail pages.
03 Clear routes to contact
The navigation includes a contact page, while the header and footer provide telephone and email links.
